<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Direct Commission is a board packet through the reserves. It is preferred that your degree be in a military field, but not a deal breaker. If the military approves your commission and the degree does not directly correspond with a branch they will look at what is similar and/or what your enlisted MOS was.MAJ Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 23 Mar 2016 12:20:16 -04002016-03-23T12:20:16-04:00Response by LTC Charles T Dalbec made Mar 23 at 2016 12:51 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Only certain MOSs are offered direct commissions. Typically those are medical types (doctors, nurse, dentists, etc), attorneys going into JAG and chaplains. Not sure your degree qualifies you for any of those. Likely you will have to go through the normal commissioning process (in your case OCS).LTC Paul LabradorWed, 23 Mar 2016 13:05:04 -04002016-03-23T13:05:04-04:00Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2016 8:17 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't think your degree qualifies you for that. I have seen people direct commission into the Guard, but even the Reserve component cut back on that years ago.<br />I only know one person who direct commissioned on Active duty. He earned his JD and passed the bar as a SSG and then did a direct commission.SFC Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 19 Aug 2018 13:14:44 -04002018-08-19T13:14:44-04:002015-01-23T18:28:47-05:00
