Most soldiers are in a pre-RASP holdover anywhere from 1 day to a few months. The average wait is approximately 4 weeks. So most likely you will be able to visit with your family and less you go right into training which usually doesn't happen. Now I doubt your unit will let you travel anywhere outside of an hour or two but your family can definitely come to base and visit you and they (most of the time) give you an overnight pass. It really all depends on the timing man. But good luck that's some hard s*** you're about to go through keep your head up do what you're told and push through the pain brother you'll make it!
