What should I do since my husband is not my dependent anymore. I am a specialist and my husband is still listed on my orders. I don't want to end up owing BAH. What should I do?Am I authorized to continue receiving BAH if I'm at my first duty station and my husband just joined and started basic training?2020-05-05T15:52:25-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member5854182<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My husband just started army basic training. The orders may need to be amended. DEERS will need to be updated showing you and your spouse are dual military. If different duty locations you will both get BAH but not w/ dependents.Response by LTC John Shaw made May 5 at 2020 4:44 PM2020-05-05T16:44:37-04:002020-05-05T16:44:37-04:00SFC Ralph E Kelley5854450<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is finance closed?Response by SFC Ralph E Kelley made May 5 at 2020 5:20 PM2020-05-05T17:20:55-04:002020-05-05T17:20:55-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member5855126<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Are you in the barracks or housing?Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 5 at 2020 8:48 PM2020-05-05T20:48:54-04:002020-05-05T20:48:54-04:00SGT Eric Davis5855439<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you are married if don’t matter who you are married to you should be receiving BAH rather it’s BAH with dependent or without dependent you should be receiving it cause you are legally married. It don’t married if he/she is in the service or not or should get with the dependent rate and the without the dependent rate. That how me and my wife did it.
