SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member 185600 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was reading an Army Times article about DIVARTYs making a comeback earlier today and was put off by a picture of COL Heyward Hutson III, more specifically by the way he was wearing his badges. <br />DA Pam 670-1 22-16 d 1 states "Badges are worn one above the other, centered above the U.S. Army tape, in order of group precedence, from top to bottom and from the wearer’s right to left."<br />COL Hutson is shown, in what appears to be an official photo none the less, wearing his CAB on his (the wearer's) top left with a group four badge placed "above" it in order of precedence. Am I and 99% of the individuals I encounter daily in the Army wrong, or did COL Hutson and his staff have an oversight in regards to the photo? <br />I am wondering if there is another way to interpret this passage or if not perhaps a reasoning behind the chosen badge set-up. I feel as though something of this nature would not go unnoticed to the COL or his staff, which is what is causing me to question my own understanding of the rule. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I agree with SSG Walthers and SSG Hasbun. The badges are incorrectly placed since the CAB is a Group 1 badge and the other three are Group 4 badges. The CAB and the Airborne wings need to be switched. It's definitely an oversight on the picture. Hopefully someone at Bliss has seen it and is respectfully making the correction.
