Am I the only SM concerned about our current strategy against ISIL? Let's face it, this isn't your run of the mill jihadist group making little waves. This is without a doubt a well rounded hybrid threat with text book (4GW) 4th Generation Warfare
Discipline.

Take for example the ingenuity of their recent offensive to take Ar Ramadi. Case in point, Utilizing a shamal (Sandstorm) as a force multiplier. Tactically speaking, adjusting their TTP's to effectively counter coalition air strikes/ISR capabilities to push the remaining IA and, PMF forces out of the city was impressive.

Am I the only SM that without a shadow of a doubt believes that this current strategy is not working?

Do we need to finally let the big dog off of his leash and, get into the fight?

Please by all means enlighten me!!!

You are certainly not alone SPC Private RallyPoint Member. It is pretty clear that our current strategy against ISIS is not working.

I think indeed we do need to ramp it up. What we are doing now is getting us nowhere, just more money. Our credibility has been kicked in the butt just so the past election would go the way some wanted it. This mode of starting something we have no intention of finishing must stop!

I think we need to respond to ISIL in a decisive manner in support of our allies in the area.
