Any advice for a 42A who wants to join the 75th ranger regiment?

As an HR Specialist, you're a jack of all trades, but will that be enough to get you to the Rgr Regt? Well, you can up your chances by being Airborne qualified for starters. You should also look at the Regt's TOE to make sure that your MOS is authorized. Then, start handing in transfer requests. Back in my day you filled out a DA Form 4187 to start the process. That may have changed since I last saw one way back when.

If you are wanting to join the 75th ranger regiment I would suggest to prepare yourself mentally because the rangers school is more mental then physical. Now I am not saying that it's a cake walk on the psyical activities part cause it's not ranger school will put your body to the test. And then after you graduate from ranger school you will be assigned to a ranger regiment it might now be the 75th though. Cause the 75th is a highly sought out regiment to go to the 75th has a high standards for those whom want to join that particular regiment.

Start working on Pull ups and ruck marching faster. It's usually what gets a lot of Soldiers.

Extra PT and running more than you probably are now, try to bulk up because you will lose weight, get a Ranger handbook and study
