Any advice for an army holdover at reception/BCT?

I have a friend who went into Ft Jackson BCT. In reception started having panic attacks and after a psych evaluation was told she’d be getting discharged. I’m guessing chapter 11 or 15. Anyway, last Tuesday she signed her first discharge papers. She was told there was another set of papers to be signed and after that she’d be good for discharge, supposedly moved to Echo then home. I believe she said 4707 papers? I guess they’re ready (per PNN) but the sergeant/commander hasn’t called for them to sign yet. She seems to be deteriorating as a holdover, her anxiety is getting worse and being older she’s not connecting with the young recruits/holdover. Anyone know of anyone getting out quickly? Hoping with the influx of post high school grads they want holdovers out of beds. Should she be persistent? Taking a battle buddy to try to go get those papers signed daily? Or will that piss them off and prolong it? I’m afraid an able body who can issue boots and mop floors won’t be on high priority to think about unless she tries to speed it up. Thanks ?

This group, NOVA, is pretty much purely VA disability, though pretty much the top of their food chain, however, they've got a really decent search engine, plus, you can call them, they're hooked into a LOT of stuff, the major vet groups, law school vet-law clinics...I and others have sent this one in a good deal, they're REALLY handy to know about, whether they can help with this, I honestly don't know, however, they're likely to have guys by where you and/or your friend are, honest...they might not be able to do MEB/PEB stuff themselves, though they "might" well know others by you and/or your friend, at least relatively nearby, that's all I'm saying, OK? Hope is of use...we transferred my stuff from a vet group, though they tried, my stuff was too involved, their guy finished my total perm disability, it cost us $500 for a consult, then we just did exactly what he said, he even got us added pro-bono help from a major law group he did stuff with...he's one of the principal reasons we realize now there's a real reason God invented lawyers, promise....

Respectfully, during the first few days upon arrival, the Drill Sergeants generally explain that the fastest way out of basic training is to graduate. That’s generally true.
The best advice is to hurry up and wait. The squeaky wheel doesn’t always get the grease. In reception or BCT, the main goal is to successfully get soldiers through to AIT. Outprocessing holdovers is secondary, but they haven’t forgotten about her.
The best way to get through it is look at it like a paid vacation. And she’ll probably be home before the football season starts.

As someone who was stationed at Jackson and dealt with trainees, it can take forever. I saw holdover Soldiers who were there for months.

I had a quick resolution with the Col. But that was 1976. Things were different then. And they wanted to cover my situation as fast as they could.

I suggest you contact the local PEBLO for advisement. This is a case of what is good for the soldier and army.
