NTC can be very cold in the winter and it will rain. During one rotation that I was on two or three guys from another unit were sharing a tent in the dust bowl and were burning sterno to stay warm. They didn't have any ventilation and if I remember right, at least one died. Go to Costco or Sam's and buy yourself some individual coffee or tea packs like they have in office setting. It saved my life.
https://www.rei.com/product/653343/esbit-pocket-stove

Esbit Pocket Stove | REI Co-op

Ideal for your home or auto emergency kit, this pocket-size Esbit stove folds down to a small, compact size. We got sunburned the first week, sandblasted the second, and snowed the 3rd week.
Just don't let anyone box your vehicle in for the night - if you get hit with CS it doesn't end well. :) Response by SGT Kevin Berman made Dec 11 at 2018 4:53 PM 2018-12-11T16:53:38-05:00 2018-12-11T16:53:38-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 4251619

I’m guessing your coming on that hood rotation. I’m OPFOR and the best advice I can tell you is stay alert and stay alive.
