Well I got kind of screwed. Former Marine. Break in service is 5 years a 4 months at time of National Guard Enlistement.

My ETP for basic training was DENIED for the reason of being reviewed within 60 days of Basic training date despite being submitted 4 months prior.

I will have to attend 11B OSUT day 0. I have read so many different responses regarding BAH for guardsman in 11B OSUT. I heard Benning does not give BAH because anything over 20 weeks is considered a PDS/PCS. However I've also ready of guardsman being denied at Benning but being back paid at their unit.

Any information on this?

Single, no dependents, turn in a 5960 for commander signature, along with the signature page of your mortgage or lease agreement.
You will be entitled to BAH single rate for your zip code.

However, as of 1 OCT 2020, if your orders are longer than 180 days, your BAH will be based on the place of duty zip code on that order.
31905, Fort Benning GA is significantly lower BAH than any zip code in CA.
Just a head's up now, in case those orders go over 179 days.

And you weren't "screwed"
No one made you take a long break in service.
No one forced you to volunteer for the Guard.
No one owed you a BCT waiver.

Understood SGM. Do I submit the 5960 my training command when I arrive? or do I go through my RSP. My recruiter is under the impression that BAH will not be awarded period.

RSP. Your pay is managed by the CAARNG.

Yes, if you are the responsible party on a lease, mortgage, or rental agreement, your Commander of the unit you were assigned prior to IET or the Command responsible for sending you needs to sign off on a DA5960. You will need proof of the things I listed to get it.

You are NG, so long as you have either a mortgage, lease or dependents you qualify for BAH. It is not a PCS for NG.
