SGM Private RallyPoint Member , this is crazy, I didn't think you could have concurrent Reserve Commissions. Interesting, those that are out there are probably as rare as the rainbow colored unicorn!

In David Hackworth's autobiography "About Face", he recounted coming across a former LTC (I think) who was then a MSG stocking shelves in a PX. I believe he took the enlisted position to finish his years for retirement. Would this have required him to resign his commission, or be placed on the inactive list, in order to sign an enlistment under the rules at the time?

So how’s that possible? See, because your multiple Facebook pages have you being a Vietnam Vet, enlisted AND ascending to LTC, but the Army only says you made it SP6? Discharged for a pregnancy as a Private after less than 2 yrs(‘78-‘80) and you were nowhere NEAR Vietnam, got back in and NO record of any commissioning at any time. I’m willing to listen to.this whole “dual component” thing but you sure look like you’re stealing the old valor to me.
