That is odd. One could suspect weak case but if more than one batch? Look inside the barrel and see if there is a defect. Cases will expand to the barrel they are fired from but usually it is uniform and not like this. I am interested to others opinions as well. I do reload and have some good knowledge. I can&#39;t enlarge this on my phone. There must be a very small crater in the chamber of your weapon. Doesn&#39;t look like it would significantly impact the life of the brass or hamper the reloading of it. Your sizing die should make it disappear. I&#39;m convinced that it&#39;s a near microscopic crater in your chamber. There&#39;s a ding in the chamber wall and the casing is deforming in to it. That&#39;s what is causing the extraction problem also. Retire this rifle until it can be gone over by a Smith and the chamber x-rayed for cracks. Not really sure where your talking about. I might believe you&#39;re talking about that one down on the right side of the casing which looks like a crease mark. But under it it looks like a side dimple as you say. Like Major Oyler said, it could be a spot inside the chamber. If you don&#39;t have a bore scope, take it to a professional to have it bore scoped. The same answer can be used for up at the top of the neck on the left side, kinda looks like it might be out a bit past the actual straight line that it should be as the chamber seats the front tip of the casing and lead. Those are the only two I can see (?). Could also be that one of the rifle grooves could be a tiny bit longer so the end of the case when fire expands in that rifling. <br /><br />If there are No defects seen with the bore scope shouldn&#39;t be a problem. Also with the bore scope the gun smith should take the weapon down so they can inspect the outside of the barrel too. Over-pressure is the problem.<br />If this isn&#39;t a reload then the problem is the ammo you&#39;re buying isn&#39;t quite right for the rifle you&#39;re using. Try swapping to a different, lower grain load and maybe a different shaped bullet head that&#39;s a better fits the manufacturer&#39;s original rounds.
