She refuses to claim her as a dependent because her mother works and earns a good living. The problem is that her mother does not want to be checked for personal reasons. This soldier agreed with her that she would handle the insurance, but she would go to the hospital and she will get medical help. Do you have any recommendations for good insurance companies? I used both back when I was a civilian forever ago. All states have different set of regs that effect cost and coverage and some just do a better job of covering certain areas. As a example, in most of the South East, Anthem/BCBS does a good job of coverage, personally didn't like dealing with Cigna or Humana, Aetna was just OK. I still carry an Anthem Medicare Advantage Plan, even though I have switched a most of my healthcare over to the VA these day.
