Any information on the MI Quickstart Program?

I am currently an ADO ROTC Cadet with one year to go. I plan on branching MI in the top 10% range. I have heard of the Quickstart program before and I think you are afforded an opportunity at MIBOLC, but not sure because it is hard to find information on the subject. I am already stationed at FT BRAGG, so going TDY to MIBOLC then right back to Bragg for a bit would be ideal, not to mention the experience I would get as a new MI LT working in the Quickstart Program's environment. I am obviously only pursuing unclassified information. Thanks!

I would highly recommend that you discuss your plans with either the ROTC staff who can point you at the correct person to get the facts. Or maybe a Army Officer Recruiter. Don't think you get a choice on classified vs unclassified.

As a former quick starter, I can tell you that this is an opportunity many apply for and very few get. The individual who runs the program out of Huachucha is very precise in who he picks for the program. Just because you get picked up doesn't mean he lets you stay. He's easy to get along with and he will bend over backwards for you... But you work your ass off. when you get down range, they throw you in the deep end, you have very little time to "get used" to the environment. My biggest piece of advice if you get picked up for the program is listen to the individual who runs the program, follow his directions, and show you can do your Intel gathering... You'll be set. My brother is a 35golf and told me about the MI QuickStart program but I can’t find out if you can get it in your contract or if you have to wait to get to your unit and talk to your CO. Does anyone have an answer?
