If you have spent years taking orders from superior officers, the thought of being your own boss and becoming an entrepreneur might have a lot of appeal. The good news is that loans are available to help veterans start a new business or expand an existing business. Small business loans for veterans are not administered by the VA, however. The Patriot Express Small Business Loan program, which is run by the Small Business Administration, allows vets to get funding for their small businesses. If your post military plans or dreams involve starting a business or if you are a veteran in need of funding to aid the growth of a business you have already started, the Patriot Express Veterans Small Business Loan program may be your best bet.

Full disclosure can be found here: http://www.thesmallbusiness.org/loans/va-small-business-loans.html

Small Business Loans for Veterans in 2015

Are you ex military looking for info on a business loan? (Link below) They might be able to point you in the direction of grants as well as give valuable feedback regarding your business plan, bootstrap strategies and more. It is important to have your ideas planned out clearly, market research statistics, presentation ready, and if you already have started a business, get all your paperwork ready. I just started working with them and it is invaluable.

https://www.sba.gov/tools/local-assistance

SBA Offices and Resource Partners | The U.S. Small Business Administration | SBA.gov

Response by SSgt Christopher Clinton made Feb 15 at 2016 11:54 AM 2016-02-15T11:54:44-05:00 2016-02-15T11:54:44-05:00 Cpl Ray Milano 1305607

Unfortunately, SBA's Patriot Express Loan Program is no longer available.
