Anybody know where an Army Soldier would get stationed in Poland?

I contacted my Branch Manager and I was offered an assignmnet in Poland.
Does anyone know where this would be?

I have tried to Google it but I have not found anything concrete.

Perhaps in the Embassy in Warsaw? Hopefully MAJ Private RallyPoint Member can comment (or you can connect with him) -- he is currently stationed there.

I can see that MAJ Private RallyPoint Member is at the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland. I don't know whether that's what your Branch Mgr had in mind...that would be an awesome slot to get, though.

The Air Force had a detachment at Lask Air Base. There's the Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC) in Bydgoszcz, Poland. But that sounds like once in a lifetime opportunity to get an assignment like that, heck I'm even jealous.

Thanks all. I thought about contacting the MAJ but, I did not want to waste his time.
The area is nice and I actually think they are standing up a new unit there. Might be part of that. All I know is there are about 4 spots to go in Poland. I might hit him up and ask if he needs someone like me come Monday. Not the worst assignment a guy could get. Right?

There is a multi national Nato Corps in Szechen (sp?).

Once again thanks to all who have replied to this thread. You have been a great source of information.
If anyone needs or knows someone who needs a 25B3O8R in Europe just let me know.
All things considered....You have all been great and offered awesome advice. I am really starting to believe that this is the best place for people in the military to voice our opinions and ask "Real" questions.

Whatever it is SSG Private RallyPoint Member I would take the assignment as this has to be a broadening position which is great for your career.

That is just my take. I will be looking for something like that but it will be harder with my MOS.

Hey I know it's been 5 months since this was posted but I was wondering if you had heard anything about it yet? Branch just called me today asking if I wanted to go to Poland. Said I'd be working under a 1 star and wouldn't be on a base so I'd have to use the local economy for medical and dental. I said yes, hoping that it would be a good assignment!
