I may be heading to Honduras for a humanitarian mission. I was wondering if anyone has gone for this mission under the 807th, and if you had any insight to the mission and what the local area is like? Any info is greatfull.

I have been but not this mission. My trips there were in the mid to late 80s. It would be interesting to hear how the mission is helping the people of Honduras

SSG Livingston,
I was with the MEDEL in 2001, I working in Radiology, and also conducted a Preventive Medicine mission as NCOIC with my Company CO. We visited 5 villages in 5 days in the mountains south of Santa Rosa de Copàn; we billeted with a Honduran Infantry Bn. We provided command and support for a Michigan AFNG medical detachment.
I took my Malaria medicine to whole time, good thing too; one of the Air Force detachment caught malaria, wasn't following medical advice.
I also worked with the Military Chaplin, delivering aid to Honduran civilians in depressed areas.
It was a great experience overall.
