Why does everything with online military have to be such a pain? First the movement to Enterprise Email, and now trying to manage NCOERs.

It's not as if I have a lot of time after my civilian job to fart around with this seemingly broken system. Anyone else having trouble with the Evaluation Entry System? 2016-07-09T23:50:44-04:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 1703544

It seems like every time I try to get on to EES the network is down. All the military has computer programs that simply don't work. Here it is 2016, and it is acceptable to be inefficient. As you mentioned, you have a job and cannot afford to waste time on these systems/programs. It is the same throughout the WHOLE Army. Systems built by "lowest bidder" (not necessarily most qualified). Long-term support may or may not be by the same individuals that designed/coded/installed the system, with questionable support documentation. Intermittent problems may be hard to identify or reproduce for trouble shooting and resolution.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not defending the systems (I, too, have issues with access and time constraints). I like the idea of the electronic versions for the NCOER and OER, but I actually liked the PureEdge version better. Local access and editing of the forms with electronic submission. It didn't have the tracking capabilities, but was a lot easier to use.
