Anyone else running in this year's Tulsa Run Saturday?

I signed up when it first became available earlier this year. Is anyone else here participating this year? My time is considerably slower than my PFT times but hey, no points involved in this one.

I won't have time.

I've always wondered about my sanity and paying someone else to let me run.

I took a year or so off while I was going through physical therapy immediately after retirement. I had also sworn I wouldn't bother with it again, much less pay to do it but here I am couple years down the road. I get the nifty shirts and coins and bibs and do it more as a necessary evil than something to enjoy.
I refuse to do more than a 5K, after all that's all the Marine Corps demanded for score. My loony wife on the other hand is doing the 15K for the Tulsa Run and training for the Route 66 Marathon next month. I plan to be sipping coffee and doing homework at Barnes & Noble while she is cursing out her decision along those 26 miles. Of course I'll be there at the finish line for her.

I have been trying not to take time off but, I have to go to an orthopedist and see what he wants to do for my knee. Probably trim the meniscus and clean the other junk around my knee so my 2 mile time is a pass but not at the speeds I used to do it.

The most paperwork and the only thing the VA wouldn't cover.
