I am there now. It is no longer AC/RC but pretty much the same mission. Come ready to travel. We do very little of or mission on Fort Dix but you will have plenty of time at home.

I concur with the fine senior NCO above. We served together there.

Why so much travel and where are they sending you? Is it just traveling around to Reserve units?

Without getting to detailed in an open forum.
We travel to train NG units in various locations across the nation but mostly on the east coast.

Have a chance to reenlist for this assignment. Coming from a fast paced unit that spends a lot of time away from home. How often do you spend nights away from home?

Depends on your assignment. I was there as an instructor many moons ago which consisted of long hours and many weekends. It's what you make of it. Philly and NYC are about 75+ miles each way so not too bad. Good luck on your assignment.

My Battalion HQ was on Lakehurst during my recruiting duty and Fort Dix was where our closest MEPS was located. I went there on a bi-weekly basis, it was a long drive with not much around. It was a ghost town outside the gate I used. What are you going to be doing there as an 11B?
