Supposedly my transition won't happen until next year since I work off of ULLS-A(E) for Class IX parts.

I was talking to the guy that does this for our facility and he was having issues with mil DLs too. He couldn't get anyone to populate and if/when names did populate they were showing expired and he couldn't figure out how to fix it. Apparently the one week of training that those guys got wasn't nearly enough.

My counter part on the non-class IX supply side was showing me what he had to do to perform the simplest function and it was ridiculous. Whoever sells these systems to the military could almost certainly sell ice cubes to an eskimo or ocean front property to someone in the Dakotas.

I'm hoping by the time they integrate Class IX into this I've moved into a aircraft maintainer position.. Not looking forward to dealing with this mess at all. Effective 1 April, I am the Command Supply Systems Technician at the 377th responsible for managing GCSS-A as well as all the computer based supply systems GCSS-A replaces, the legacy systems. If you or your units need additional training to become proficient in using those systems, please do not hesitate to contact me regarding that training.

I am hearing from the field that GCSS-A transition training is sparse and inadequate and I need more information from Soldiers like you if that is the case so I can make the argument that more training and resources are needed. I have had the most success putting the start date far enough back to be before the oldest issues license, and putting the expiration date at least 5 years in the future. Otherwise data outside of those date ranges will not populate in the report. They also MUST have been issued through Tcode ZOPID before they will appear on the ledger. An easy way to run an entire unit at once is to navigate to the organization tab in the search menu and enter your force element number into the organization unit field. Then you can select all your Soldiers and input then into the report criteria.

If you want to create a report that shows what equipment everyone in your unit is qualified to drive you can do so by hijacking Tcode ZFNQ. Enter all of the EICs for all licensed equipment owned by your company. Then possibly save your work as a variant for later. Next use the same force element trick to important all of your personnel into the report criteria. Execute the report and save it to an Excel file. Tcode ZOPLR will allow you to drill down into each profile within the system, but you cannot to my knowledge print out a report of all qualifications per person unless you manipulate the find qualifications transaction ZFNQ as I described above. If anyone knows an easier or better method, please share.
