Now, I made an account on the 6th of this month, and I heard back from a representative on the 12th, six days later and talked to him today, the 16th of November. The conversation over the phone went very well and the person was very enthusiastic about my background and opportunities that I was looking at and I applied and he told me to contact him back once I applied (which I did) and that he had contact with the hiring managers for many of the companies but just curious if anyone had any success or tried the site?

Although I had a great experience talking to someone from the site and there were 1300+ jobs in my area I did find that many of the jobs well...they are jobs that most aren't going to qualify for unless you are a nurse, doctor, psychiatrist and/or pharmacist. I brought up that people with those backgrounds; they won't be on the site in large numbers compared to every other background. I bring this up as Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) had the most positions listed in my area which was about 400+ positions and they were looking for people with these backgrounds that many people on the site may be lacking. In addition, there were many low paying fast food and retail jobs listed too. Many of which, these closed out months ago and when you add the amount of jobs between HCA, Yum! Brands, Aramark, and Sears, that's about half of the jobs on the site. I might even throw in some of the banking and insurance jobs, as there were a lot of those that required you to be licensed or certified. The person I spoke with stated that they were trying to get jobs that people would and could work for and possibly remove the fast food jobs as they didn't want someone to be working there if they were that desperate, and didn't want anyone to be at that point either.

Nonetheless it is better than nothing, and it is very possible my area may be lacking so I don't want to knock the site, because I am hoping for the best but I had a great experience talking to someone with the site and hopefully I get somewhere. Just wanted to share my experience so far.

Jobs & Career Advice for Veterans

See how Hirepurpose can help you find your dream job! You only need to connect on ONE job; the rest are chaff anyway. So far, it seems no better/no worse than other types of similar sites. It did link me to job postings that are offered through placement/temp agencies such as Robert Half. When I talked to a representative from the site, he told me he might not be able to help me as much with this one employer, and one job may be a complete stretch but try anyway because it never hurts.

Anyway, the job that looks like it could be a complete stretch, the employer emailed me about an hour ago wanting more information and I emailed them back with the information they wanted. Hoping for the best! Told me to email him once I completed the applications, and I did so. Never heard back from the companies either. I know this may be a bad time to go job hunting but this is getting aggravating.
