Sounds cold. However, AFBs are always nicer than Fort Whatever.

Never thought I'd like UT, but it's nice enough that me & the hubby are seriously considering settling here when I retire. There's lots to do in the area; if you like outdoor stuff, then you'll enjoy it. The inversion sucks, mostly in the winter, but it's hard to beat the mountain view!

Is the inversion bad in Ogden as well as SLC?

it's about the same all the way up & down the valley. if you're up on the shelf or on the elevated areas of the base you can look out and see it. but again, the inversion is typically bad around the winter time because we get less winds/storms and the air is more dense because of the temperatures. right now we're having one rainstorm after another, so the winds are helping keep the air cleaner.

I was stationed there for 4 years. Great location. Yes you deal with snow but the area is nice.
