My PD gives us the choice of a Sig P320 or a Beretta 92 series as our duty weapon. I elected to use the Beretta as I'm more familiar with it, but the P320 is a great firearm as well, very comfortable to shoot. At least we didn't go with Glock! I spoke with the SIG rep at SHOT show last week and they have addressed the ND if dropped (which you shouldn't be doing anyways). I read the newest report and it sounds like they are working to address some new issues that have come out of the new field testing. I have done field testing for Operational Test Command before and I can attest to the fact that we intentionally pushed the gear far past what would be considered normal wear and tear (even for Army standards)...

the Glock that was put forward for the test was the new 19X I believe. I did get to shoot it at SHOT show and it was a good weapon as well.
