Anyone know incentive codes for contracts? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/anyone-know-incentive-codes-for-contracts

I was just speaking with retention briefly & they pulled up iperms & GIMS to see what was in my contract. I was under the understanding that I had my bonus, SLRP & my GI Bill Kicker. He said that he didn't see SLRP, my contract lists AEK for incentives, I don't know what they stand for, he thought that one was for my bonus, GI Bill & kicker & if I had SLRP, there would be a 4th letter.

I tried looking online but I can't find anything. Any insight would be appreciated. When I came in I got SLRP and a bonus in 2006. However, in order to take SLRP I had to sign documents declining the Montgomery gi bill as I couldn't have both. They were taking a $100 a month from my pay for the gi bill so I had to turn that off in addition. Later that year I got my bonus and SLRP payment. What they didn't tell me was the SLRP payment is considered taxable income and I had to pay taxes on it.
Later, I became an officer and learned that even though I declined the Montgomery gi Bill I was eligible for the post 9/11 gi Bill. However, I did not start incurring years of service towards my gi Bill that is vested based off time in service until I had repaid the time for my SLRP.
So to your situation learn what the codes mean later and read up as I dont know if you can be earning both SLRP and the gi Bill simultaneously. They can review your contract and see what you are entitled to. Once you determine what you have coming then you can find out where it is and why you aren't receiving it. I sure hope you weren't misled when you enlisted. With student loans it's somewhat confusing since the rules change frequently depending on your state they may have an open line to your state education and incentives branch. I would definitely start checking out your iPERMS record though and educate yourself on what benefits you signed up for.
