I'm looking for life coaches with a military background to help get our brave warriors back to a great positive mental state. I would be happy to go over the details of how you can help if you can. I am also looking for mentors that can provide that valued service. I am building this from the ground up and really could use some guidance.

www.charliemike.life

Tue, 05 Mar 2019 16:18:20 -0500 Anyone with advice? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/anyone-with-advice

I am starting a non profit called http://www.charliemike.life to help reintegrate our veterans back into a society that seems to have lost its tribal importance. You may want to see what they offer and form some partnerships with people headed in the same direction but with different service offerings or even similar offerings.

You may want to,look at what it will take to become a 501c . We're comprised of a couple dozen charities local, state and natl governmental offices, to include our Congressman's Military Adviser, and a couple businesses who offer services and assistance to vets. Reps from our local military units..i.e. Reserve and Guard units, also attend. We share information on new and existing programs like suicide prevention, job preparedness, projects, forums as well as information on jobs, training, etc. Goodwill provides our meeting space and they run an annual 'Stand down for Homeless Vets', Christmas support for needy veterans and vet job fairs all year. Personally, I help vets with the job hunt... resume writing, translating military terminology and deciphering civilian jobs. I also talk to hiring managers, specifically those with no military experience, to help them read military resumes, understand what they are looking at, who they are talking to. I also am in contact with active duty military members sometimes a year out, usually starting out with.."I'm trying to decide if I want to get out or re-enlist"..or "do I accept orders or retire?..." Compared to the 1990's...today's veteran has at his disposal so much help on many different level that it presents a different problem...so many organizations overlap their offerings that it can be very confusing who does what. Just having someone who knows how to cut through the static can be enlightening in and of itself. Good luck...It's a great endeavor.
