Sister battalion to the old guard of the 3rd regiment. Has a storied history including being one of the first battalions to receive strykers early in the war.

Can't tell you much about them abymore, because I left there in 2010, but at that time, they were a great unit.

As for jblm, make the most of it while you are there. There's great hiking, running, racing, fishing, everything around there. Don't sit on your ass on the weekend.

And lastly, if you truly try to learn to use the stryker as it is intended, and treat, maintain, and care for it as one of your soldiers, that vehicle will do amazing things for you. A lot of guys going from light units or airborne units to a stryker unit don't attempt to learn anything. They just see it as a heavy unit, and hate on it instead of learning from it. Have an open mind and learn while you're there. It'll make you a much more lethal warfighter.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - The Styrker is a finicky beast, so tread lightly, learn all you can, and maintain it like it was your own cherry Corvette.
