That's like going to war with such a stringent ROE it helps the enemy.

Couldn't agree more. It's not like they are suspected terrorists! We know they were.

And if the FBI ask Apple to open that one phone, one thing, but give the FBI open hand on all phones? - no way.

I'm with the FBI on this one...But why this was not handled behind closed doors bothers the hell out of me.. This is now another Political Football that makes no sense at all especially when we are talking about National Security and preventing more terrorists attacks.. Ole J.Edgar Hoover must be rolling over in his grave..

Sgt Tom Cunnally - exactly a couple hundred dollar investment is threatening billions if not trillions of dollars national security program.

Yes... that iPhone is a wiley one. This is soooooooo crazy they (Apple) won't help the FBI with such limited crypto resources, and they (FBI) would never think to work cross agency or 3rd party contract to aid in this endeavor. [sits back and wonders who got the ARCOM on this Psyop].

John McAfee offered to find the phone pin without creating a back door. Why doesn't the FBI take him up on his offer? Also, if the FBI had gone to Apple before they reset the I Cloud password through incompetence, the data they need would have been available.

Lastly, this all makes perfect sense if the aim is to give the FBI the capability to access other I phones in the future. Otherwise, you are correct... This could have been resolved easily behind closed doors through I Cloud, without the need to create a process to break this, and all other I phones of this model.
