This is a good step to get more local/regional involvement or "ownership" of the war. My question is do we have the right mix of nations involved? What are some risks of involving more regional powers in the conflict?

http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/08/18/us-libya-security-idUSKCN0QN1R420150818?utm_source=twitter

Arab League vows military support for Libya, no word on air strikes

The Arab League pledged military support on Tuesday to help Libya's internationally recognized government fight Islamic State, but did not publicly agree to a request for air strikes.

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 11:24:56 -0400 Arab League Vows Military Support to Libya: Are the right nations fighting the war? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/arab-league-vows-military-support-to-libya-are-the-right-nations-fighting-the-war

The Arab League has promised military support to Libya in the fight against ISIL but has not yet responded to requests for air strikes. I hope not. It looks like we may be there for a very long time. Can we afford this? Probably some monetary support from the gulf states.
Egypt has had some issues with ISIS operations inside it's territory, and would like to take the fight to their bases of support in east and south Libya. Nothing altruistic about this move. Just practical thinking. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 19 Aug 2015 14:00:36 -0400 2015-08-19T14:00:36-04:00 2015-08-19T11:24:56-04:00
