Both times I was sent there I didn't get my pinpoint orders until i was actually in the Replacement Detachment. The first time took something like 3 months, the second time I knew within a week.

Your orders will more than likely be direct (pinpoint) to a unit but all new assigned personnel in-process Campbell through the Replacement company so you will go there first to start your in-processing and then your unit will be notified to pick you up. When I was there this was done in 5 days but the timeline or process may have changed. Point being is you still will have to go through Replacement regardless of what type of orders you have.

Ok that makes sense. Last time I was there was 8 years ago. I'm going back now to be a Platoon Sergeant.

Your assignment instructions and orders will designate a Brigade. It's up to brigade strength management to assign you lower than that.

Thanks. I didn't know I could run a Google search on the UIC. I know which brigade I should be going to now.
