Are any of you involved with serious clinical research in any medical lyre later area, regardless of subject and/or level?

I have very serious clinical research interests in sevl areas, e.g., neuroscience, biomathematics, mathematical biophysics, wound healing. Bioengineering, genomics, etc. I know such things would fall under sevl topics, I'd just never asked wherpther anyone here has research interests, I'd be eager for discussion. I'm total perm disabled, though imsptry to stay as current as possible, many thanks.

*slowly raises hand Yes, sir Capt Daniel Goodman One of my drives in life are to help injured servicemen and disabled veterans improve their quality of life through effective uses of scientific research. Of course, there are several more qualified people who I have hopes that can solve this issue satisfactorily for the sacrifices of such brave men.

I'm assisting with a study now. We're trying to identify modifiable biomechanical factors that are tied to running related injuries. We're also investigating the reliability of 2D running analysis vs 3D running analysis. If the 2D system (our system is still pretty pricey) is reasonably reliable future research will investigate whether less expensive 2D systems are also reliable. The aim is to find an inexpensive, easy to use system than can be used in the clinic. I picked the project before grad school started when I thought I would be working in Sports medicine after graduation, but now I think that I'm more interested in chronic pain research.

I have always liked physics. I picked up Hawking's book "A Brief History of the Universe" last year and finished it the first day.
