Are Army O-3 collar insignia they exact same size as Navy O-3 insignia?

The difference is where the cross bars meet the vertical bars. Dept of the Navy O3 tank has the cross bars at the ends of the “railroad tracks”. Army and Airforce have the cross bars offset inward about 2 mm.

Jeff-Ours are a little different; connected at the top and bottom, almost flush, vs. more towards the center. Theirs also have "bevels" on the edges, whereas ours (and I'm pretty sure the Marine Corps) are flat. I may be wrong (it's been a while), but our "large" bars; the one's that go on outerwear such as raincoats and "Ike" jackets, are usually the same... don't know why, maybe just cheaper, less frequently used. When I augmented with the Army, they issued us the same IBA patches as Army O-3, and we got used to being constantly called, "Captain".

No, and I believe the Navy "tracks" are thinner then What's on the Army railroad tracks. But it's subtle and I doubt most would notice.

Size and where crossbars go aside, there's typically a texture, shine, detail, and fineness of detail difference. I'd notice that whenever I happened upon an AAFES store. One thing is absolute though. O-1 and O-4 is gold. Just remember, gold attracts shit.

Backstory: Going In for pha/pfa with a different reserve unit. Was told to where khakis. I can’t find my Lt. Insignia since generally wore the blueberries. The base exchange has Army Cpt. Insignia and a few people said to just do that but frankly I just don’t like being out of uniform so I wanted to confirm. I called around and found a helpful LT. who is letting me use his for the weekend. Thanks everyone for helping me get the little things right.
