If you served in the Sinai after 11 SEP 01, then you have a presumption of exposure to burn pits and other toxic fumes.<br /><br />If you have an ongoing illness, consult the Pact Act presumptive conditions.<br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.va.gov/resources/the-pact-act-and-your-va-benefits/#gulf-war-era-and-post-911-vete">https://www.va.gov/resources/the-pact-act-and-your-va-benefits/#gulf-war-era-and-post-911-vete</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/743/701/qrc/open-uri20220927-3520-1scovzd"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.va.gov/resources/the-pact-act-and-your-va-benefits/#gulf-war-era-and-post-911-vete">VA.gov | Veterans Affairs</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> COL Randall C. Sinai Egypt. Multinational &amp; Observers. Burn pits. We had burn our own on site at the towers while on duty. We would have to wear a hander kerchief over our faces when it got so bad and the wind blew in the direction of the tower. The whole shift. We had to deal with crazy heat in the 100&#39;s and this smoke.
