Are females authorized to have French Manicures (white tip) in uniform now?

I have some of my senior NCO’s saying they can and some saying they can’t. I read the regulation and it doesn’t specify. It says it just has to compliment the SM’s skin tone.

If you can still do your job, to include any combat skills, I would say go for it. If the regulation is unclear and your leaders are conflicted, just keep it minimalistic, show it to you CO and get approval there.

This is going to be one of those things that is subject to perception and open to interpretation. In other words a grey area that will be lauded by some and derided by others. So here is what you do. Ask for clarification from your 1SG and CO. If they are good with it, then that is all you have to worry with as they greenlit it. Anyone that has a problem with it, bottom up or top down has to go through them first. And by doing this you have command level authority that this ok, in the face of any "orders" from anyone that is of lesser rank than your commanding officer.

No, AR 670-1 and ALARACT 015/2021.
One solid color only.
French manicure is specifically listed as not authorized in the ALARACT.

Absolutely not. " French Manicure" is specifically listed as "EXTREME" and expressly prohibited.

No to French tip but can have American manicures. It’s hard to find but in the alaract.
