Sometimes gas is cheaper on base, sometimes it's cheaper at MAPCO or Walmart. If you shop at Winn-Dixie a lot you can get it cheaper than any of them. Their price was $.01 less than the closest off base station but $.03 more than a station closest to my home. Think a lot of it is based on where you are located and whether you commute to/from base. On base prices seem to be lower than immediately around the base, so if you live on base it doesn't make sense to drive off base to find cheaper gas. If you commute it may be cheaper at stations away from the base, think key here is to pay attention to prices during your commute and fill up where the price is lowest. IMO it never makes sense to drive around to get to or find cheaper gas. BTW, what's a Star Card?
