Are hands allowed in pockets now? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/are-hands-allowed-in-pockets-now <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am at Fort Gordon as a civilian and work with mostly Soldiers. Has there been a change in policy where Soldiers can walk around with their hands in their pockets? I see it everywhere, outside walking on the sidewalk, in PTs, in duty uniform. Just this morning, one of our 1LTs walking outside with both hands in his pockets. Drives me crazy, it&#39;s so unprofessional. Soldiers will keep uniforms buttoned, zipped, and snapped. They will ensure that metallic devices such as metal insignia, belt buckles, and belt tips are free of scratches and corrosion and properly polished or properly subdued, as applicable. Soldiers will ensure all medals and ribbons are clean and not frayed. Personnel will keep boots and shoes cleaned and/or shined, as appropriate. Some units are more relaxed and then this becomes the norm. It then trickles over when they go to a TRADOC or school environment like this. To me there is a place and time for everything and this is not it. I personally do not see a problems with it but professionally we all have to abide by regulations.
