Are members of the military, both Active and Guard/Reserve, required to wear their uniform at a funeral in which military honors are given?

I did do some searching, but I didn't find anything that stated whether it was required or not for a veteran's funeral.

Haven't seen anything in writing that it's required, unless you go with your unit and they want you to wear the uniform

If it's on your time I think you're good to wear whatever so long as it's respectful, considering the event. Unless it's your unit attending the funeral, then I imagine it would be in dress.

no, as far as I know there is no requirement although IMO if I knew the deceased I would honor them by wearing my uniform

If I were to attend a funeral for a Veteran that I know receiving Military Honors and they were being buried in uniform, I would get a hair cut, shave, and wear my dress blues (yes they still fit) out of respect for the deceased.
