Are people forgetting the other man murdered in the Eddie Ray Routh trial?

I understand that Chris Kyle is a Hero and bigger than life but two families lost sons, children lost their Fathers, and Wives lost their Husbands.

Please remember the other man who was taken that day, Chad Littlefield.

His father made sure that Routh would remember his son's name. He even spelled it out for him in the courtroom.

That is the question I asked in another Post on FB. Especially the news agencies. It is always Kyle and another guy. Or it is just about who murdered Kyle. Don't forget about Chad Littlefield.

This will always be an 'issue' with the media/people in general. Just like all those years ago when Jessica Lynch was captured and etc. There was like six other people with her and all the media could seem to focus on was the female.

Granted that was more an issue of American's insight and preternatural views on seeing women in combat/danger (that hopefully we can all get past), but it is easy to focus in on a smaller slice of the pie than the entire picture.

Multiple examples of it can always be found no matter where you look. Just remember that even though it is not said it does not mean that it is not thought about or remembered.

RIP to all service members and veterans that have been lost in similar situations that we never even heard about.

Yes, SSG Private RallyPoint Member, I think they are forgetting about Chad Littlefield. Thank you for the reminder. I'll bet many (very many) people think of this tragedy as the deaths of Chris Kyle and "that other guy," which is very unfortunate.

SSG Private RallyPoint Member I'm really glad that you started this thread. My initial response is "yes" -- though I wonder to what extent media is responsible for this, due to how Chris Kyle grew into a larger-than-life figure due to his accomplishments, book, and persona. I appreciate that you started this thread because it is a solemn reminder to all of us that we lost more than Chris in this senseless tragedy.

Yes i think a lot of people do forget him, or at least he's remembered but only as a foot note to the Chris Kyle story. It's a shame really, I know I'm somewhat guilty of it myself. Thanks for posting this!
