Are people of all ranks, officer and enlisted, too relaxed when it comes to social media and OPSEC?

All over Facebook, I see people constantly giving status updates about deploying or constantly posting identifiable pictures about a deployment. We are always given OPSEC briefs about the dangers of doing that. Is it something that should be taken more seriously? Maybe people should wait until later in their deployment to post stuff or put a delay in their updates.
