Are Prospect applications permanent all the way to MEPS?

So if I say a friend of mine revealed adhd to his recruiter, but they told him he should've kept his mouth shut to avoid the excess issues of paperwork etc. Does that mean he can't go to the station in the next town to get recruited instead? Or does that prospect application stick on the record permanently?

That form lives forever! Even if they went to a MEPS across the country the new MEPS will get a copy of it. The good news is ADHD is waiverable.

It all depends on if the recruiter put it in the system or not. If the recruuter put it in the system then it is in the system and nothing can be done, but if it is not then he should be good to go. I have no current medical issues ;however, my recruiters told me to learn the shut the fuck-up policy. Also I understand he is your friend but you have to look at how him being in the Navy with ADHD could affect other shipmates. I have a friend that has depression and has tried commuting suicide but he really wants to join the Navy. I have had to look on how him being in the Navy would effect my fellow shipmates around me, and I had to make the choice of is this going to help later on. That is justme though. If the recruiter put it in the system then yes it stays with them but if your recruiter telling you to keep your mouth closed then do so!!!

So I can second the shut-the-fuck-up policy. If it's something you KNOW will be found out, tell them, but if you don't know it will be obvious then don't. If you have actual problems that will keep you from graduating basic and tech school then you need to find out if they're waiverable or not.

If the Recruiter put the name (info of the prospect in the computer) then the Recruiting World is tracking him and whatever comments the first Recruiter put in the computer. If you lie to a Recruiter and then ship to Basic Training and then at moment of truth the Army finds out you lied. Say goodbye and enjoy the fraudulent enlistment and you will be booted to the curb.

Adhd is not a disqualification. The medication you take can be a disqualification though. The meds I used to take disqualified me, and I had to go my senior year without it so that I could prove I wasn't on any meds that, in case of no access, would weaken me mentally and inhibit my ability to assist in the mission. So yea, the shut the fuck up policy is good, because alot of recruiter are lazy and don't like having to pursue waivers for adhd, or anything forbthat matter.
