Are Skill Badges Authorized on the New OCP?

Are skill badges such as Airborne, Air Assault, Parachute Rigger, EIB/EFMB/CIB/CAB, etc. authorized for wear on the new OCP uniform and is there specific guidance on pin-on versus sew-on?

I would be willing to bet they will be available within a month and follow the same guidelines as the ACU.

There are several places you can purchase the OCP skill badges online currently. Unlike the ACU which was originally designed to make everyone look uniform, they will more than likely be authorized. However, we all saw how long the "unauthorization" of badges and sewing lasted on our current uniform.

Our unit was given a powerpoint that talks about the new uniform and it in the Soldier is wearing skill badges. I couldn't tell if they are pin or sewn on from the photo.

I don't think the regs have changed just because the pattern did. AFAIK, the rules are still the same: If you sew them on, EVERYTHING must be sewed on. If you use Velcro tabs, then you use pin on badges.

The regulation covers the wear of both pin on and sew on badges on the ACU's. The uniform hasnt changed. You will still wear ACU's. The pattern is just different. The ACU-UCP is being phased out for the ACU-OCP. But its still just ACU's worn in the same manner, governed by the same regulation.
