Are standards created through choice (majority rule), human rules, or values from a moral standard?

Why are easy questions hard to answer honestly into days Society? Is it because if we answer to our moral beliefs we are looked as prejudice or haters? Let's talk about this a little bit. I think this can help us realize why standards are being either abused or over looked.

SFC Mancuso, ethically speaking, I am a moral absolutist and a proponent of the Divine Command Theory. As such, I believe that man-created standards are morally neutral. I really think that my creator doesn't have anything against people putting their hands in their pockets, so the standards themselves have no moral value whatsoever.

Now, whether or not to follow those man-created standards is another matter. As a Divine Command Theorist I believe that it is morally correct to obey those appointed over us.

It should be values taught at home while growing up, but society has changed so much towards the "me" generation that it is no longer about be proper home training, plain and simple.

Morality is different for everyone. Some people find it moral to eat people, most do not. It depends on the zeitgeist where you grew up, whether or not you are a sociopath, how you perceive the world, and how your parents raised you. A lot of Americans follow the moral guidance of the bible, but most of them do so differently from others. Case in point, the Westboro Baptist Church. I doubt there is anyone on here who would say they thought their behavior was moral.

Morality is subjective and far from absolute.
