While the process for getting benefits have came a long way in recent years, it feels like the process is set up as a deterrent. I thought the paperwork required during my active duty time was bad, but the requirements for the VA can drive someone crazy to the point of not even applying. The 6 month to a year wait for approval is horrible. Has anyone had a positive experience with benefit application process with VA? Are the application processes for VA Benefits set up as a deterrent? 2014-02-28T11:30:36-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 66589

I sat through my ACAP workshop this week and received the briefing for VA benefits. They provide these services free of charge
regardless of whether or not you are a member of their organization.
