Being of old, I'm not up on current requirements of this nature and would like to see how they compare to what we were taught long ago. As far as weight goes the old M-1 was 9.5#. Anything less than that is light. It doesn't matter how high or low the requirements. Injuries happen. Hell, I remember one of my last CFTs, my buddy leaped onto my back during the fireman carry portion. Leg went one way, knee went another. These things happen. Not to mention in combat situations, people are typically exchanging fire. Injuries will always happen.
