Is Julius Caesar historical? Where's the proof? Or how about George Washington? Where's the proof? All of history takes a certain amount of faith to believe that what has been written down about the past is true. Think about it.

Are the NT Gospels history? I would say so. Where is the proof? In the Bible. But if you want corresponding records you can start with the Bible, then examining Temple Records, Roman records, archives in Alexandria, Egypt, the Dead Sea Scrolls, churches around you and many other institutions that have been practicing Christianity for nearly 2,000 years. You can even go look for corroborating records on the internet today and at your local library!
