Are the Quanset Huts still in use at MCRD in San Diego ?

I don't think so. I've been to San Diego recently and didn't see any. The last time I saw a Quonset hut was when I worked at Camp Upsher (OCS) at Quantico. I did spend some time in "A" frames at 29 Palms on a couple of CAX exercises in 1984.

No, if they are being used it maybe be for storage. All I know is that they have been collecting a lot of dust

See above comment. I was the 1st Sgt for Receiving Company when I retired. My career literally began and ended at the same place.

The last time I saw a quanset hut was at Camp McP in Korea. I think PTA had them as well.

We didn't have them at MCRD when I went through in 1994, but we did use them for MCT in Camp Pendleton. I don't recall how long they stayed active.

The Last Quanset Hut I ever saw was in Adak, AK 79-80. WWII Leftovers that we used as Department/Division Party Houses.

It looks like there about 15x of them near the pool off Guadacanal & Iwo Jima Ave's. Based on location, I would estimate they are historic (Storage) as opposed to operational.

There's plenty still being used for storage at MCRD SD. Only place I've slept in one was at Camp Wilson 29 Palms during predeployment training in 2005 and 2007.
