Are there any 35F MOS topics that I should brush up on, specifically for the MOS assessment for SFAB? Is the 5-mile ruck march a timed march?

Know the basics of your job and be prepared to answer non-multiple choice questions. The five mile march is timed. Time to meet is not releasable but very doable. Only like three out of hundreds have not made the March.

Greetings.
Firstly, IMPO, duty with a SFAB (and / or eventually with the SFABs' "next higher," the SFA Command based at Fort Bragg) is important mission, institutionalized (finally) element in our (pardon) "Big Army" force structure, and selection for assignment reflects a serious DA commitment and investment in our Army's "SFA Enterprise" (the last thing our Army needs is a reprise of the reportedly-convoluted and disparate situation encountered by volunteers with the DOD's joint-service Af Pak Hands Program).
FWIW, in view of the (ahem) "operational culture" in which a SFAB arrives, connects, integrates and operates with its foreign military counterparts and also very-likely nearby local contacts, suggest that 35F focus additional MOS-relevant interest on [1] developing/refreshing skills in overt HUMINT collection (i.e. elicitation, interviewing, screening and observation) and reporting and [2] TTP for integration, orientation, rehearsal and effective use of available interpreters (if your SFAB does not have 35M, aka ex-97Es, at hand).
** If time allows, get the POIs of the Defense Strategic Debriefer Course (DSDC) conducted by MICoE at Ft Huachuca and also of the 35M MOSQ course.
Since you have a CAC card, visit and check out the archives at [1] US Army's Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL), [2] US Army's Foreign Military Studies Office (FMSO) and US Army's Culture Knowledge Consortium (all three organizations are based at Fort Leavenworth, KS). Similar and valuable resources in USMC include [1] Center for Applied Operational Culture Lessons (CAOCL) and [2] Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCIA); both organizations are based at MC Base Quantico, VA. << FYI, MCIA produces some excellent unclassified or FOUO Country Handbooks and culture guides relevant to operations by US military units deployed and employed in those countries. >>
FULL DISCLOSURE FOLLOWS:
[1] I provide similar services as on-call LREC SME/advisor/role-player/"train the trainer" to a CONUS-based US Marine Corps (USMC) training organization which is functionally a close-equivalent of the MATA, in terms of training, assessing, certifying and deploying USMC-resourced "Security Assistance Teams" (SATs) for OCONUS duty as advisors, trainers, force modernizers, and influencers of their foreign military counterparts in various host countries in the CENTCOM AOR.
[2] On behalf and at request of a contractor which supports MCoE at Ft Benning, am preparing some country-specific "read-ahead and get smart fast" self-training materials for possible inclusion in POI of the MATA's basic / MOSQ-like Combat Advisor Training Course or distribution on graduation as supplemental references (that would be MATA's call).
Hope this helps. Today is Saturday, 5 June 2019.

Greetings again.
Thank you for your note of feedback. Glad to advise and assist as I can, now and in the future.
Let me know if you eventually get processed and accepted for assignment to a 35F billet in a SFAB.
If so, would be pleased to send you a bunch of (all open source / unclassified) relevant materials if your SFAB is oriented and (ahem) "missioned" for deployment with in-country duty and operations in an Arabic-prevalent host countries in the CENTCOM / SOCCENT AOR (Afghanistan and other-than-Arabic-speaking countries are outside my fields of field experience and related expertise).
(I remain a hard-core believer in advising, reinforcing, mentoring, and supporting our MI NCOs and WOs who carry the major burden of supporting such important missions.)

Stephen H. Franke

Greetings again.
Thank you for your note.
** FWIW, understand, per the slight coverage by DA and DOD sources of S2-related aspects of SFABs, that the brigade's 2 shop will deploy and operate with limited / fewer / lower-tech-dependent INT-related assets.
** A possible related consideration is operating within likely very-limited / controlled-access interaction or interoperability with the SFAB's counterpart S2 / MI elements, as done in compliance with applicable provisions of National Disclosure Policy (U) and also any country-specific amendments / supplements. Those sets of guidance closely govern the ROE in effect regarding disclosure, release, or (i.e. sanitized) exchange of classified / sensitive topics.
== Encountered and learned from a few similar situations during active duty tour as military advisor to a counterpart SOF command and its units. Assignment involved associated interaction with the in-country US SCO and with counterpart's MI bureaucracy and its procedures. The Defense Attaché Office [DAO] at the US Embassy can be a helpful, and prompt, source of current guidance and facilitation in harmonizing some situations.
** Don't know if the POI for the Combat Advisor Training Course at MATA includes coverage of these MI/S2-relevant items. The MATA's website might provide current lay-down of that POI.
Suggestion: Stay current on U.S. military terms, symbols and graphics, because in a number of foreign countries, when you are dealing with counterparts, your acetate map overlays will be convenient and handy as effective briefing aids, especially when discussing IPB / IPOE).
Hope these observations (albeit at a distance) also help. Your service as a 35F with a SFAB should be very engaging, energizing and interesting.

Greetings again.
Today is Monday, 7 January 2019.
May I extend an offer (here operating on a surmise that you will pass through and complete all the necessary steps for selection, assessment, acceptance and ultimate assignment as a 35F in an SFAB) for support of your unit's pre-deployment preparation.
Let me know, as appropriate, if your gaining SFAB will be regionally aligned, focused and missioned for duty to work with counterparts in [1] an Arabic-prevalent host country (referring to the CENTCOM AOR) or [2] French-prevalent host countries (referring to much of the AFRICOM AOR).
If [1], pleased to refer your S2 shop to some useful and unclassified bilingual references (published in the U.K. by Cambridge University Press) on "Intelligence Arabic" and "Security Arabic."
If [2], then pleased to refer you to likely sources for purchase (if not available as online download) of an excellent multilingual (English - French - German) "NATO Glossary of Military Terms."
These references may well help orient and inform (i.e. vocabulary) your unit's linguists when they support bidirectional, language-enabled discussions of subjects related to (ahem) "Intelligence-speak.
That's it. Glad to advise and assist as I can.
Regards.

CORRECTION (bad keystrokes above)... If your SFAB is assigned a regional alignment with a focus on Arabic-prevalent countries in the CENTCOM AOR or the AFRICOM AOR, let me know, and pleased to send you some open-source / unclassified "read ahead" materials for your own orientation and functional self-training in topics related to 35F / 35M activities. Direct email address is < [login to see] >. HTH.
