It&#39;s GS-5 target 11 (you can start as GS-7), and gain a GS grade promotion each year for the two years of the program (5-&gt;7-&gt;9 or 7-&gt;9-&gt;11, depending what you start as). After graduating from the program, you get a permanent position within the VA... you just may need to move depending where that position is.
