Are there any regulations that allow for an area to be deemed a "no hat, no salute" area? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/are-there-any-regulations-that-allow-for-an-area-to-be-deemed-a-no-hat-no-salute-area <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have seen apartment complexes that are advertised as being "no hat, no salute" zones. In my own complex, SMs rarely wear their headgear and I have occasionally seen soldiers going tan, wearing civilian ball caps and drinking beer. Now, I understand the alcohol is a separate discussion, but does this community think that a civilian establishment (such as an apartment complex) should or should not be allowed override military regulations? I'm sure the complexe is doing it to attract young soldiers but it takes education on the part of leaders to set things straight.
