Are there any reserve combat engineer units in Washington State?

I am relocating in a few months to the Seattle area for my full time job. Using the unit locator on the Army Reserve website I have found a handful of engineer companies in the state, that are either construction types or firefighter. I would prefer to keep my current mos, are there any 12B slots in the state or will I have to drill elsewhere?

I would get with your Retention NCO and/or Career Counselor to dig into their systems as they are much better than anything found here on RP. However, if you can't find one in WA, I know there is a 12B unit on FT Douglas, UT.

You don't have do drill elsewhere, you can pick up an additional MOS.
Or you can get a conditional release to join the Guard, the 898th BEB probably has 12B vacancies in the WA ARNG.

I reclassed from 15D a few years ago because I wanted a fun job. Going through the vacancies for WA state there isn't a lot to pick from. I did find a unit with 12C's in Portland that I may check out.

I don't think you will find a combat engineer unit in the Reserves, I could be wrong, but there are very few combat MOS's in the Reserves, Maybe the Guard has some??? Most engineer units in the reserves are service support units.

SSG (Join to see), there are Combat engineer units in the Reserves. I've been in two so far in my career.
SGT Nicholas Franklin, go to the HRC website, click on My Records, login, go to Tools, HRC Vacancy Search. You can search by MOS or zip.
I would also suggest going to an Army Reserve Career Counsellor. They can find you a unit even if they do not have any vacancies.
