I talked to the recruiter yesterday and was informed that there's no opening training seats available for 35 series soon . Please advise! Thanks. (every day frequently). So I was talking to him every day about new availability and eventually just gave him a list of jobs I wanted. He then notified me a couple days later that 35M became available and I took it. Once you reserve an MOS you have within the next 7 days to go to MEPS though so try to have open availability. As previously stated, it would behoove you to contact your recruiter everyday to see what 35 series MOS's become available. It may be true for reservists if there are no unit slots available but it also depends on training slots for when the AIT classes begin. Right now the soonest you could ship out is January if there are available slots open. Like others said, you should check in with your recruiter often so they can keep checking. Only recruiters have access to that information. Even if I was a recruiter, I had access to that information, and I told you that there were seats oh, you would still have to go to your recruiter Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 9 at 2018 12:34 PM 2018-12-09T12:34:20-05:00 2018-12-09T12:34:20-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 4196249

SFC Private RallyPoint Member is 100% Correct. Recruiters and Career Counselors use a system that automatically updates as slots are made available or unavailable. Once a Recruiter inputs your information into the system only they can work on your contract and send up the choices you pick for MOS. If you really want a 35 series job ( I am a 35 series) I’d make sure you are 100% honest on any background questions you’re asked and also know that yes the title may sound cool but the job you do directly affects personnel on battle ground. But just keep checking with your Recruiter and also remain open minded as their are other excellent choices other than 35 series jobs. A slot may miraculously open tomorrow morning - and be filled by tomorrow afternoon. (But don't become a pain - recruiters are human, and you want an ally, here.)
That being said, I think you need to take a look at what you really want from the Army and what you have to offer. Those three MOSs are all MI, but they are radically different. If you are looking at any of the three, you may need to re-think your ideas or sit down for a more in depth talk with your recruiter. Or maybe scan through some of the other discussions on RP regarding the basics of each MOS.
